Abuja (Sundiata Post) — The duo of the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okoroch, and former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, on Tuesday, congratulated the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
While Okorocha described Tinubu as a big political asset to the Yorubas, Daniel described the former Governor as an indomitable spirit of great mind.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onuwemeodo, Okorocha urged Tinubu not to relent in working for the progress of the nation.
“The governor described Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as one politician not only with a lot of courage the younger politicians should have a lot to copy from him, but as a big political asset to Yoruba land in particular and to Nigeria in general.
“He equally described Asiwaju Tinubu as a valuable asset to the ruling party, the APC and assured that with Tinubu and other well meaning leaders of Nigeria in APC, the party is gradually taking the nation back to the fast lane of development, prosperity and growth under President Mohammadu Buhari.
“The governor noted that the former governor of Lagos State is ageing gracefully and urged him not to relent in working for the progress of the nation and her people.
“He prayed that God, in his infinite mercy, should continue to grant Asiwaju Bola Tinubu more eventful years ahead,” the statement read.
In a terse statement issued by his Media Officer, Ayo Giwa, Daniel noted that even those, who disagree with Tinubu’s politics still respect his faculty.
“Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba (Engr.) Gbenga Daniel has described Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an indomitable spirit of great mind, insightful opinion, strong heart and exemplary will.
“In his message on the occasion of Senator Ahmed Tinubu’s 65th birthday anniversary, Otunba Daniel said Tinubu’s hard work, dynamism and ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking have received wide appreciation both at home and abroad.
“Your voyage in the nation’s political landscape has been an important period filled with significant achievements for you personally and our country; even those who disagree with your politics still respect your faculty, audacity and charm.
“On behalf of his family, Daniel (joined) other well-wishers to celebrate the milestone in Tinubu’s eventful life, and (prayed) Almighty God to grant him sound health, wisdom and more years of outstanding success and dedicated service to our dear country, Nigeria,” it read.
