The nominee’s name was contained in a letter read by the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, during plenary, on Thursday in Asaba.
Okowa said the nomination was in line with the exercise of the powers conferred on him by the law establishing the agency.
The governor urged the Assembly to promptly consider and confirm the nominee for appointment.
The Majority Leader, Mr Tim Owhefere, moved the motion for the receipt of the letter for further consideration, and it was unanimously adopted, after the Minority Leader, Mr Innocent Anidi, had seconded the motion.
The speaker directed the nominee to submit 35 copies of his curriculum vitae to the office of the Clerk of the Assembly on or before Dec. 2, and appear for screening the following day.
