Akure- Dele Ajayi, the Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association (FA), on Friday in Akure returned unopposed to run the affairs of the association for the next four years.
The re-election saw Ajayi polling all the available 20 votes.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that all the FA chairmen in the 18 local government areas participated in the election.
The Chairman of the Ondo State Referees Council and the Chairman of the Ondo State Coaches Association took part in the election.
In his acceptance speech, Ajayi promised to work with other members of the board to further develop football in the state.
He said the establishment of an academy for young referees, among others, would be his major target in the next four years.
Ajayi however warned of tough days ahead for those who refused to toe the line in the state.
“I want to sound a note of warning that whichever team refuses to affiliate with the state FA will not be allowed to participate or play in any national competition this season,” he said.
