Onuh takes over at Sunshine Stars following Abiodun’s sack

Sunshine Stars have appointed Erasmus Onuh as replacement for Henry Abiodun to take charge of the team for the remaining part of the Nigeria Premier League season.

Coach Abiodun was was asked to step aside after it was discovered that he was acting as an agent for two players of the club during transfer activities.

In a statement to Goal, media officer of the club, Wahab Bankole, said the Ondo State Football Agency has approved the appointment Onuh to begin activities with the team as head coach with immediate effect. [eap_ad_2] “Following the recent redeployments of coaches under its supervision, the Management of the Ondo State Football Agency, ODSFA, led by the Chairman, Mr Akin Akinbobola, has confirmed the appointment of coach Erasmus Onuh as the new head coach of Sunshine Stars.

Until his appointment, Coach Onuh was a former coach of former elite division now second-tier club, ABS of Ilorin.

The statement also announced that its suspended Coach Abiodun will be “assigned a new assignment likely outside the club.”
