PORT-LOUIS – Thousands of Mauritian football fans on Thursday marched on the streets of the capital Port-Louis at midday to celebrate the opening of the FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
PANA reported from Port-Louis that the fans carried balls, banners and national flags of participating countries during the march.
Also, musicians and their female dancers performed the famous Brazilian samba for up to two hours in celebration of the fiesta.
It ended at the Caudan Waterfront with a Brazilian music and dance festival.(PANA/NAN)
