Operation Yaki team recovers stolen cement-loaded trailer

Kaduna – A special security patrol team in Kaduna State, Operation Yaki, has intercepted a trailer loaded with cement stolen from Giwa, in Giwa Local Government area of the state.

A statement by Mr Samuel Aruwan, media aide to Gov. Nasir El-Rufa’i, in Kaduna on Monday, said the interception followed improved communication among security operatives in the state.

He said that the vehicle, which was stolen from where it was parked in Giwa, was intercepted by the patrol team in Sabongari, Zaria.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]

“The vehicle was recovered with the cement and was handed over to the Area Commander, Sabon-Gari, while investigation is in progress to establish the criminal profile of the suspects for possible prosecution.”

Aruwan said that the operatives had also recovered another vehicle snatched by a gang of armed robbers on Nov. 7, along Zaria-Kaduna expressway.

He said that the vehicle was abandonned by the armed robbers at Sabon Tasha when they sighted the operation Yaki team. (NAN)
