ABUJA – Dr Joseph Brown-Diogo, the Chairman, Black Creations International, a Pan African trade and investment organisation based in U.S., says the organisation has discovered a rock with a replica of Nigeria’s physical map.
He said in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Tuesday that the rock was discovered on July 7, 2013 by a team called the “Desination Nigeria”, sponsored by the organisation.
Brown-Diogo claimed that “the spectacular rock formation in Rayfield Jos, Plateau, depicts the geographical boundary map of Nigeria.
“This eighth wonder of nature signifies nature’s replicate of God’s divine plan for Nigeria, displayed on a rock formation of more than 10,000 years old’’.
He said the organisation had named it “Unity Rock’’ with a view to solidifying the unity of Nigeria and packaging it as a potential tourist site that could boost Nigeria’s image and generate income for the tourism sector.
“The name was inspired by its significance, especially at a time when the country is being faced with security challenges. [eap_ad_1] “We intend to partner the international and local companies to exploit the potential embedded around the rock.
“We also intend to partner with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to declare the location as an international heritage centre,’’ he said.
The statement said the organisation was working with scientists and other tourist experts on how to explore the site and assess other values of the rock.
The statement quoted the owner of the site of the rock, Mr Samson Pam, 86, as saying that the rock had remained the same since he was born.
According to the statement, Pam said the discovery challenges the conscience of any section of Nigeria that is drumming the division of the country.
It also quoted Brown-Diogo as saying that the organisation has designed a logo for the rock to be presented to the Federal Government for approval. (NAN)
