WARRI (DELTA) – Mr Couple Orumoni on Tuesday emerged as the Pere of Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri Kingdom, in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta.
Orumoni was declared winner with majority of votes cast by 12 delegates from the Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom on April 3 and April 4.
Announcing the result at the Ewien Town Hall in Ogbe-Ijoh, Mr Anthony Jolomi, said Orumoni scored eight votes to defeat two other contestants.

The other contestants were: Mr Johnny Aribogha and David Pere, who scored three and two votes respectively.
“The selection process was carried out by a Selection/Succession Committee members picked from each of the five ruling houses’’, Jolomi said.
Responding, the monarch-elect, Orumoni promised to justify the confidence reposed in him as king by carrying everyone along.
The former Pere, Israel Gbenebode, the Oduwor III, died two years ago.
The coronation of the new Pere will be announced later. (NAN)
