She made the call at the 4th National Women’s Summit them: Wealthy, Well and Wise Women, held at Mauve 21 Event Centre in Ibadan.

Osinbajo, told participants that the nation needed their commitment to attain greatness and that women were the link between their husbands and the people.

“We need you, Nigeria needs you and Nigerians need you. We must ensure that we stay well to look after our loved ones and achieve our destiny.

“Nigerians outside have been told lies that we are the worst set of people but we are very sure that it was a bad representation of Nigerians.

“Nigerians are beautiful, cool, hard working, energetic, talented and highly distinguished people’’, she said.

She commended Mrs Florence Ajimobi, wife of the Oyo State governor for her consistency in the sustainability of the summit.

In her address, Ajimobi described the summit as a life-changing platform for women to generate practical ideas towards actualising their potentials.

“Our roles as modern day women obviously go beyond keeping the home and satisfying the needs of our men. We have received a higher call to duty at the top of which sits self-actualisation.

“ We must identify our innate strengths and abilities in order to leverage on them and also identify our weaknesses so they can be converted to strengths’’, she said.

She said the summit would dwell on internal issues and how better women could be made to be the change the world desired.

Ajimobi implored government at the federal and state levels to put all machineries in place to ensure that women benefitted maximally from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda as stipulated by UN.

She hoped that the 17 goals with the broader sustainability agenda would create a more conducive environment for women across the world to thrive successfully.

“We look forward to the urgent adoption of the agenda, especially those that affect women.

“These goals include No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well being, Quality Education, Gender Quality, and Reduced Inequalities, among others’’, she said.

Ajimobi said that the agenda, if executed, would play a huge role in creating wealthy, well and wise women.
