Osun Govt. will not sack any local government worker – Commission

Osogbo  –   The Chairman, Osun Local Government Service Commission, Mr Peter Babalola, has assured local government workers on Grade Level 15 and above that government would not sack any of them.

Babalola gave the assurance in Osogbo on Friday during the presentation of redeployment letters to the workers who had been placed on one month compulsory leave.

He urged the senior officers to disregard the misinformation making the rounds that they would be relieved of their jobs, adding that this was intended to frustrate them out of the civil service.

He, however, implored them to embrace their new assignments in good faith, and work hard to implement government’s programmes to provide succour to the citizens.

He said the new posting from the local governments to the local council development areas was on the approval of Gov. Rauf Aregbesola.

Babalola said he would continue to operate an open door policy with a view to solving any problem that might arise with the new posting.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the workers were given redeployment letters to the newly created 30 Local Council Development Areas across the state. (NAN)
