Osogbo – Mr Bosun Oyintiloye, the Chairman of Osun House of Assembly Committee on Information and Strategy, says the new ministers should add value to governance by virtue of their background and experience.
Oyintiloye made the observation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Osogbo while reacting to the composition of the federal cabinet.
He said the newly appointed ministers would pursue the change agenda of President Muhamadu Buhari and put smiles on the faces of the people.
Oyintiloye commended the diligence of Buhari on composition of his team and called on Nigerians to cooperate with the president to enable him fulfil his promises.
“The ministers, will no doubt, take their briefs from Mr President, adopt a blue print and follow action plans.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560”]
“With the emergence of this calibre of people as ministers, I believe they will add value and innovation to governance.
“With the blue print of APC-led government, I believe this group of ministers will be able to pursue the change agenda of the government and make people smile,” the legislator said.
Oyintiloye urged the ministers not to be distracted, but should rather focus on the change agenda of the government.
He also said it was a welcome development that the president appointed himself as the petroleum minister.
Oyintiloye said the appointment would sanitise the petroleum ministry and make it more effective.
Oyintiloye, representing Obokun State Constituency, commended members of the National Assembly for their maturity and comportment which gave credibility to the overall screening process of the ministers.
He urged all the ministries, department and agencies (MDAs) to “step up their games’’ and work diligently with the ministers. (NAN)
