OSOGBO – The Orangun of Oke-Ila, Osun, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, has established a free Secondary School for indigent students in his domain.
Abolarin told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Oke-Ila, Ifedayo Local Government Area, that the school was meant for those who could not afford education in regular Schools.
According to him, the chool has taken off in Oke-Ila with an initial enrolment of 35 students.
‘’The School which has full boarding facilities will grow over the years; we are developing the school gradually so as not to derail from the vision of providing totally free facilities.
‘’The fact that the School is for indigent students gives me the urge to pull together the finest brains and I actually teach subjects myself.
‘’It is one of my contributions to the empowerment of the children in my domain; education is the only thing that can guarantee them a fair chance in the field play of life,’’ the monarch said.(NAN)
