OSOGBO – Osun State police command has said the restriction of movement in and around the state begins 6am today. According to the state police commissioner, Augustine Evbakhabokun, the restriction is meant to prevent movement into the state. He said the state police command is fully ready and prepared to repeat what they did in the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti State and that anybody that is arrested would be punished.
[eap_ad_1] Speaking at a press briefing in Osogbo, the commissioner said the restriction is between 6am to 6pm today. He said the police was not imposing curfew but a restriction to forestall any bad intentions by the supporters of political parties. As early as 3pm yesterday, many streets in Osogbo, the state capital had been deserted as many residents rushed to their respective homes in order to beat the police deadline.
