Maigari’s arrival was thirty minutes ahead of two trucks belonging to the Directorate of State Service (DSS) and two other Hilux trucks belonging to the Nigeria Police.
The two DSS trucks had about six operatives, while the police van had about 10 policemen.
Emeka Inyama, the NFF board Media and Publicity Chairman, told newsmen that they were in the glasshouse to forge ahead on the development of football in the country.
Nigeria was suspended from international football following a court order that restrained the NFA board and it’s congress from performing their duties.
Mrs Ibiakpo Baribote, the wife of Victor Baribote, had obtained the order against the Maigari-led board after a High Court in Lagos declared the name Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) illegal in 2010.
The court order was vacated on Wednesday thereby allowing the NFA board the opportunity to discharge its duties which also led to FIFA lifting the suspension on Friday afternoon. (NAN) ———————————————————————————————–
