Enyimba striker, Andrew Abalogu has said his side’s league loss to newcomers, Giwa FC will count for nothing in the Federation Cup semifinal clash involving both sides.
The Cup holders will put their crown on the line when they engage challengers, Giwa FC in Thursday’s Cup semifinal encounter at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.
Abalogu said his side will teach the Tin City side some football lessons when both sides take to the pitch to decide who advance to the final of the annual football showpiece.
“Of course, Giwa FC cashed in on the infamous home advantage to win the league match but that privilege won’t be available for them when both sides meet on a neutral ground in Abeokuta.
“Our supporters should go to sleep with both eyes closed as the league loss will count for complete nothing in the Federation Cup semifinal clash on Thursday.
“The Federation Cup competition is a different ball game, we’ve the winning formula and experienced players to turn the knobs in our favour.[eap_ad_2]
“We’ll teach them (Giwa FC) some football basics that they won’t forget in a hurry and will certainly make them pick balls inside their own net.
“We’ve vowed to successfully defend the title and Giwa FC can’t stop our dream of a back-to-back victory.
“I’m sure Giwa FC must have surpassed their widest dream in this year’s Cup competition making it to the last four so come Thursday we’ll end their ambitious Cup dream,” said former ABS hitman to supersport.com.
