Nigerian Army and Navy personnel have eliminated five members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) during a recent clash in Ejemekuru, Oguta Local Government Area, Imo State.
This engagement followed a recent encounter in Orsu LG. The joint forces successfully raided identified IPOB/ESN camps, recovering significant weaponry, including an AK-47 rifle, two pump-action semi-automatic rifles, a locally fabricated gun, and more.
Additionally, 15 kidnap victims were rescued in a separate counter-insurgency operation in Tsohuwar Tasha, Zamfara State. The troops swiftly responded to a distress call, engaging and compelling kidnappers to abandon their victims.
