“In oil and gas, we have commenced plans to ensure that Anambra is recognised as Nigeria’s 10th oil producing state,” he said.
He noted that the sector would attract a lot of oil and gas infrastructure, generate employment and make the state an aviation fuel designation for refilling planes when the cargo airport in Umuleri was completed.
The governor said that his administration reviewed the salaries of the staff of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe and approved the payment of N10 million for the completion of the NUT House in Awka.

In a lecture titled “Community and Consensus: My Hope for Anambra State,” a renowned novelist, Miss Chimamanda Adichie, urged the Igbo to renew the values of community and consensus.
“Let us retrieve and renew the values that once were ours; the values of conscience and integrity, of community and consensus.
“Let us disagree and agree to disagree but let us do so not as separate fractious groups fighting against each other constantly but as people who ultimately have the same goal of a better community for all,” she said.
