OWERRI WOMEN: WOE BETIDE YOU IF YOU KEEP MUM OVER THIS INJUSTICE!
There was no record of any destruction or vandalization. Yet, over 50 women to spend weeks in jail for protesting under a democratic rule. History is recording what we are doing. Journalism, they say, is history written in a hurry.
When the history of this epoch is written, Buhari would take a little portion of the blame. The larger portion will go to those men and women who justify these inanities. Those who sold their emotions and mortgaged their senses.
In South Africa, people protest and police give them cover. Just recently, opposition organised rallies against election results in Zimbabwe. Their leaders were not picked up.
NINETEEN years after we returned to full democracy, a protest by women who were unarmed landed them in prison. Yet we are silent including those who preached democracy to us and how it is practiced in advanced countries.
If you condemned things like this under PDP and you look the other way now, MAY YOU AND YOUR GENERATION SUFFER THE ANGUISH THESE INNOCENT WOMEN AND FAMILIES HAVE BEEN SUFFERING SINCE THEIR ORDEAL BEGAN.
