Ibadan – The Federal Road Service Commission (FRSC),Oyo State Command, on Friday said it had recorded 26 road crashes in October in which ten persons lost their lives.
Mr Yemi Onafuye, Policy Research Statistics Officer of the Command, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan.
Onafuye said 240 persons were involved in the accidents, while 82 casualties were recorded, saying the remaining 158 were not injured.
He said that out of the 82 casualties, 72 were injured while ten people lost their lives.

Onafuye said that the injured comprise 47male adults, 23 female adults and two children.
He said that among the ten persons that lost their lives, seven were male adults, two female adults and one child.
Onafuye said that 44 vehicles were involved in the accidents, 28 of them commercial and 16 private.
He urged motorists to be patient while plying the road, saying most of the accidents that occurred on Nigerian roads could be prevented if motorists exercised caution. (NAN)
