IBADAN – The National Directorate of Employment in Oyo State is set to train 50 unemployed women in shoe and bag making.
The state coordinator of the directorate, Mr Supo Lagoke, said this on Wednesday in Ibadan in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Lagoke said that the aim of the programme is to train unemployed women in various skills for them to be self-reliant.[eap_ad_2]
The coordinator, who said the women would be trained to make shoes and bags, using cloths and local materials, called on unemployed women to register for the programme.
Lagoke said beneficiaries must be between the ages of 18 years and 50 years, and should be literate and ready to learn.
He said eligible trainees would be selected from the three senatorial districts of the state. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
