ISLAMABAD- The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said the general elections of the country would hold on time, highlighting that there is no possibility of a delay in the polls.
The election is scheduled to hold in the last week of January 2024 and all the preparations have been completed,” the ECP said in a statement.

It added that after the publication of the delimitation of constituencies, the election schedule would be announced.
“The first phase of delimitation has been completed and the second phase of filing objections would be completed by tomorrow,” it said.
“The ECP would start hearing objections regarding the preliminary delimitation from Oct. 30 and 31.
“In this regard, a final list would be published on Nov. 30,” it added.

The general elections schedule would be announced after the final publication of constituencies, and there is no ambiguity in the decisions of the ECP. (Xinhua/NAN)
