Sundiata Post – Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade has announced the team’s readiness for the clash with Brazil.
The nine-time African champions will face the Samba Girls in their first women’s football game at the 2024 Olympic Games on Thursday (today).
The match at Bordeaux’s Matmut Atlantique Stadium will begin at 6 p.m. Nigeria time.
Brazil defeated the Super Falcons in their last two games and are the overwhelming favourite to win the forthcoming match.
However, Ajibade stated that the Super Falcons are battle-ready for the mission ahead.
“Playing in professional leagues, we encounter many players from different countries, including Brazil,” Ajibade was quoted by 54footballx.
“I can provide the team with insights on how specific players operate, especially those I have played with or against in Spain and Brazil. We can pool our knowledge to help the team succeed in the Olympics.”
