described APC as a party driven by ideology, said the party also represents hope and a better Nigeria.
“I am a chief, chiefs are not meant to be partisan but I am APC because there is hope in that party”, Okponah said.
The chief said this at Ndoni Community Town Hall while addressing Ndoni chiefs and Dr. Dakuku Peterside, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who was in Ndoni for ward rallies ahead of the general elections.
Okponah, who described Peterside as an experienced administrator and a peace-loving politician, called on Rivers State voters to vote
massively for Peterside and all the candidates of the APC.

Peterside also had a prayer session with widows of Ndoni. The widows, numbering about 15, told the candidate that they have been praying and fasting for his success in the forth-coming elections because they believe in him.
Responding, Peterside thanked the widows for their prayers and support. “I am touched with what one of us is doing in your lives. I will do everything to ensure that widows are comfortable and happy
under my administration. To be a widow is not a curse, it is an accident and it could happen to any woman. I appreciate your prayers and may God keep and protect you”, he said.
Peterside commended Rivers people for the thunderous welcome, promising to address the infrastructural needs of every part of the state. He vowed to protect and work for the interest of the entire people of Rivers State from his first day in office.
Goodwill messages came from traditional rulers and chiefs, party members and candidates like Lucky Odili, Prince Peter Odike, John Enebeli and Gift Nwokocha, among others.
