JOS – Pastor Enoch Adeboye , the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Thursday paid a 15-minute visit to the University of Jos and prayed for students success in examinations.
Adeboye was in the state on a three-day regional programme of the church at the Kassa camp in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.
He was accompanied on the visit by Prophet Isa El-Buba of the Evangelical Bible Outreach Mission International.
Others on his entourage were the regional pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Province 8, Pastor Charles Adegoke, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Hayward Mafuyai and his wife.
In a welcome address, Mafuyai said the university was privileged to be visited by the renowned man of God during his tenure.
He urged the Adeboye to pray for the university to attain excellence in its assignments in the academic sphere, especially in the face of the current challenges facing the nation.
Adeboye, who took his text from Gen 1:1-4, prayed to God to give light to the administrators and students of the institution to achieve excellence. (NAN)
