Darazo (Bauchi)- The People Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday formally commenced its campaign in Bauchi State, with a promise to deliver more dividends of democracy, if re-elected.
Alhaji Ibrahim Yaro, chairman of the party in the state, who made the promise in Darazo town of Darazo Local Government Area of the state, said that the PDP was committed to the welfare of the people.
Yaro stated that the steady implementation of the transformation agenda of the PDP-led administration, was an indication of better things ahead if given another mandate.
He appealed to the electorate to repose confidence in the party and vote for its candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
“You believed in our great party and trusted us with your mandate since the return of democracy in 1999.
“You gave us the opportunity to prove our worth and I am confident to say today that PDP did not disappoint you.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10”]
“I appeal to you to give us yet another opportunity with your vote and i assure you that PDP will continue to provide you the dividend of democracy, ” Yaro said.
Alhaji Umaru Dahiru, the Director General of the party’s campaign council in the state, said that as long as democracy prevailed in the country, Bauchi State would remain a PDP state.
Dahiru appealed to the people to support the party in the forthcoming elections for the progress of the country.
Gov. Isa Yuguda, who is also the party’s candidate for the Bauchi South Senatorial Zone, expressed confidence that the party would win the general election in the state.
“If Bauchi people support PDP again, their lives would continue to be better, “he said. (NAN)
