PDP mulls challenging election results in court

The national leadership the Peoples Democratic Party met Wednesday in Abuja, where reviewed  the outcome the April 11 governorship and Houses .

Members of the National Working of the PDP, who met at the party’s national secretariat, agreed summon all candidates of the party an emergency in Abuja Tuesday and Wednesday next week enable the party decide the possibility of challenging the outcome of the at tribunals.

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Olisa Metuh, who briefed journalists after the , said the party would meet all candidates of the party that contested the governorship and senatorial Tuesday and the of candidates on Wednesday.

The outcome of the two meetings, he said, would determine whether or not the party would challenge the outcome of the elections at the various tribunals or not.

Metuh charged members of the party not to despair and urged them to come out en masse to in the three governorship re-run scheduled for next week.

He raised the alarm over an alleged plot by the All Progressives to distabilise the PDP, using disgruntled members of the ruling party.
