He said that unlike other states and even neighbouring Delta, Edo since the present administration had never awarded scholarship or bursary to students of the state origin in institutions of higher learning.
He said that election of PDP candidates into the House of Assembly would ensure a vibrant legislative house that would effectively check the executive.
Orbih said the house would also ensure promulgation of laws that would ensure judicious use of the state’s resources.
The chairman called for support from the people of the area for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in the Feb. 14 presidential election.
Earlier, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, former Chief of Staff to President Jonathan, said that it was time for the party to reclaim power in the state.
He said that there were complaints from the citizens on the neglect and insensitivity of the present administration in the state to the welfare of the people.

Oghiadomhe told supporters at the rally that a PDP government in the state in 2015 and 2016 would tackle and address the problems.
He, therefore, urged the people to team up in unity and vigorously pursue victory for the PDP, while urging the youths to take their destiny in their hands.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the campaign team also visited Fugar, headquarters of Etsako Central Local Government. (NAN)
