Abuja (Sundiata Post)- Peace rally organised by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and the governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon Ugwuanyi brought Awgu Local Government Area to a stand still on Saturday.
The peace rally is geared at mobilizing the people of the state to embrace peace and also continue to support PDP.
Special Assistant on Media and Publicity
to the National Youth Leader, Okah Ewah Edede disclosed this in a statement sent to Sundiata Post.
The rally which was well attended, had members of PDP National Working
Committee (NWC) in attendance.
Members of the NWC of PDP present were Sen. Gamawa, deputy national chairman North; Rt. Hon. SKE Udeh Okoye, the national youth leader of the party who is also from Awgu, and others.
Rt. Hon. SKE Udeh Okoye used the occasion to charge up youths of the state into political participation because the youth are the driving force of any nation.
If we could remember, during a meeting with Youth Leaders of the party, across the zones and states, in Abuja last month, Rt. Hon. Udeh Okoye and the zonal and State youth leaders of PDP had pledged to mobilize 15.99 million Nigerian youth for PDP to vote out APC.
