ABUJA – President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday approved the appointment of Mrs Asabe Ahmed as Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF).
Similarly, Jonathan also appointed Mr Denzil Kentebe as the new Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Management Development Board (NCDMB).
The news appointments were made known in a statement issued by the Presidential Spokesman, Dr Reuben Abati, in Abuja.
According to the statement, Mrs Ahmed takes over from Mrs Sharon Kasali, who has been the Executive Secretary of PEF since 2007 while Kentebe succeeds Mr Ernest Nwapa, who had the NCDMB since April 2010.
Ahmed, who is currently the Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, respectively
“She is expected to put her years of experience in public service to good use in re-engineering, repositioning and re-invigorating PEF for present and future challenges,’’ the statement said.
Kentebe is an architect with years of experience in strategic planning and policy management, it added. (NAN)
