Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu, National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has taken a swipe at President Bola Tinubu over the prevailing economic situation of the country.
Nwosu, who spoke in an interview with AIT, lamented that Nigerians are dying of hunger daily, stressing that many mortuaries are filled with dead Nigerians.
He urged Tinubu to listen to protesting young citizens who have been on the street since August 1 over the high cost of living in the country.
Nwosu admonished Tinubu to address the demands of the #EndBadGovernance protesters with immediate effect.
According to Nwosu, the economic policies of the present administration are suffocating Nigerians, calling on the president to be proactive in his approach to tackling the challenges.
“How do we deal with our issues? Proactiveness is critical to leadership. The president should be proactive. The money that has been spent to stop the protest and palliatives, if it was channelled properly, it would have solved the hunger problem.
“Moving forward, I wish we could be more proactive. Nigerians came out, [and have] spoken, and people died. A lot of people are dying on the street. Go to the mortuary, people are filled there. People cannot pay their bills. So the President should listen to Nigerians,” he said.
