Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Human Rights Activist, Aisha Yesufu has described the Presidential Election Petition Court’s (PEPC) verdict as a movie that retired Justice Mary Odili gave us the trailer.
She further stated that not only were the Justices so ashamed to face the camera to give their rulings, but that from their words, body language, countenance and intonations that you could feel their anger at the petitioners.
Recall that the PEPC yesterday struck out the petition filed by Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) against President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, declaring it as incompetent and lacking in merit.
Further recall that Justice Mary Odili had last week, at a colloquium in Abuja, to mark the 25th anniversary of the elevation of a renowed jurist, J.K Gadzama to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, asked Nigerians to take the outcome of the tribunal in good faith.
Aisha who disclosed this via her X handle, formerly known as Twitter said that giving up is not an option and that a setback is an opportunity to consolidate and keep going.
The statement reads:
Yesterday’s judgment was a movie. Mary Odili gave us the trailer.
Justices that were too ashamed to face camera and give their rulings?
They were more like counsels to the respondents.
From their words, body language, countenance and intonations you could feel their anger at the petitioners.
Immediate action:
Giving up is not an option.
A setback is an opportunity to consolidate and keep going.
