Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the forthcoming 2023 general election and former governor of Anambra State, Dr Peter Obi has condemned the attack by hoodlums on the Amichi Divisional Police Headquarters in Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Obi who described the attack as worrisome said there can be no justification for taking human life and destroying infrastructure meant to serve the needs of the people, especially against the backdrop of scarce resources.

According to Peter Obi, “the attack on a Police station undergoing reconstruction from a previous destruction in 2020 is coming barely 24 hours after the headquarters of the same LGA was attacked and razed down with one fatality.

He stated this in a series of tweets while reacting to the attack on Police Headquarters in Anambra via his verified twitter handle. The tweet reads:

“The attack by hoodlums on the Amichi Divisional Police Headquarters in the Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State is condemnable.

“It is even more worrisome that this attack on a Police station undergoing reconstruction from a previous destruction in 2020 is coming barely 24 hours after the headquarters of the same LGA was attacked and razed down with one fatality.

“There can be no justification for taking human life and destroying infrastructure meant to serve the needs of the people, especially against the backdrop of scarce resources. -PO.
