Dr. Dakuku Peterside, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC has described himself as a living witness of God’s miracle and mercies. He said this at an interdenominational prayer and thanksgiving meeting to mark his birthday in Port Harcourt.
“I have absolutely nothing to boast about except that I am connected to God. I am a miracle and if you are familiar with how I got here, then you will agree that indeed, I am living witness of God’s mercies and compassion. God practically brought me from the dungeon, and whatever glory that is associated with my name today is evidence that the Almighty does not discriminate.
“I am therefore grateful to God for everything. So when we win, because we will win, we will say it is God that gave us victory and we will praise His name. But I know if others win, they will not give honour to God, they will find a way of linking their victory to their human connections and associations but I know that nobody can take God’s glory.
“So we will continue to praise and worship God. For the past seven years, we have always prayed and praised God on my birthday. We will continue to worship God because He is the reason we are alive. We thank the men of God who continue to pray for us and our state and may God bless us and make Rivers State great.”
The APC flag bearer also commended his teeming supporters for their faith, adding that he will not disappoint them when he eventually becomes governor. Peterside who described himself and his running mate, Hon. Asita Honourable as good family men said they will do everything to support the family.

“When we enter office, we will respect the family. We shall work to make sure families are happy and comfortable because of the important roles families play in our lives as citizens”.
