LAGOS (Sundiata Post) – Dr. Dakuku Adolphus Peterside has assumed duty as the Director-General/CEO of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
According to a statement sent to Sundiata Post by Hajia Lami Tumaka, head of public relations, the new director-general, who arrived the NIMASA Head Office on 4 Burma Road Apapa on Tuesday, immediately went into a closed door meeting with members of senior management of the agency.
Peterside, who said that he was aware that there were competent hands in the agency, also solicited the cooperation of the staff to reposition the agency for greater productivity.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
While noting that he was in NIMASA to serve the nation and humanity, the director-general expressed his readiness to partner all stakeholders with a view to positively impacting the maritime sector and the Nigerian economy at large.
It will be recalled that the Federal Government had on Thursday last week appointed as the Director-General of NIMASA for a four-year term.
