Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Despite the Protest that has greeted the reinstatement of the former Emir of Kano State, Alhaji Lamido Sanusi II., dignitaries from Kano State and beyond have continued to flock in their numbers to pay homage ti him,
Recall that Sanusi, former CBN Governor, was deposed by the current APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, when he was Governor of Kano State.
He, however, was reinstated to the throne of his forefathers by the current Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, after the rescission of the Emirates council law on which Ganduje acted to remove Sanusi and create four other emirates.
The law led to the dethronement of the five Emirs of Kano, Gaya, Karaye, Rano and Bichi and subsequent reappointment of Sanusi as emir of Kano.
Added to the heated situation in Kano after the news of the dethronement was the return of Aminu Ado Bayero, who was steering the wheel of the Kano throne until his deposition.
Accompanied by supporters and well wishers, his return had heated the atmosphere in the state especially as he made straight to a mini palace in Nassarawa where he settled.
The Pro-Ado Bayero people have vowed to take him back to the main palace where Sanusi is occupying, stating that arrangements had already been made.
Meanwhile, Emir Sanusi, well cladded in his royal regalia, received dignitaries on Sunday.
