PORT HARCOURT (Sundiata Post) – Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has praised the soccer artistry of the Super Eagles during their World Cup qualifier against Swaziland at the Adokiye Amasiemaka Stadium on Tuesday in PortHarcourt which led to the team’s 2-0 victory.
Wike also redeemed his pledge of $40,000 to the team for scoring two goals in the crucial World Cup qualifier. The governor had pledged $20,000 for every goal scored by the team in a move aimed at motivating the national team.

He also commended the technical crew of the national team for the tactical preparation of the Super Eagles and the technical inputs that ensured that the team emerged victorious.
While assuring the Super Eagles and the Nigerian Football Federation of the continued support of the government and people of Rivers State, the governor urged them to remain focused in their quest to win the World Cup ticket for the 2018 soccer fiesta.
