WARRI – The newly-elected President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Mr Amaju Pinnick said on Tuesday the executive committee would run a collective football administration.
Pinnick made the remark in Warri, Delta shortly after he was elected as the President of the Federation.
“We are going to be taking collective football decisions, we will redefine and reposition Nigerian football.
“It is a task that my predecessor won almost every laurel but we will improve on that.
“With this team, we are going to reposition football and take it to the next level,” Pinnick said. [eap_ad_1] Pinnick had polled 30 votes to beat Lobi Stars Chairman, Dominic Iorfa, Taiwo Ogunjobi, former Secretary-General of the Association and Amanze Uchegbulam.
Before the commencement of voting, Shehu Dikko withdrew from the election.
Mr Seyi Akinwunmi from Lagos state scored 30 votes to emerge the first Vice President of Association while Emeka Inyama Emeka scored 4 votes, Adamu Shehu, 8, and Suleiman Muazu scored 2 votes.
Musa Ibrahim of Zamfara state was returned unopposed as chairman of chairmen of the state football associations.
Green Tam-Abinye scored 26 votes to emerge as member of the executive committee representing South-South zone.
He beat Oswald Atuake of Cross Rivers who scored 14 votes.
Mr Sunday Ajayi was elected as member of the NFF executive committee representing South West zone.
Mr Kachalla Kalli from Borno State and Modibbo Hussaini emerged winners to represent the North-East zone in the executive committee.
Mr Felix Anyansi Agwu from Abia was elected as member to represent South East in the executive committee. (NAN)
