Plateau: Ex APC guber aspirant, Margif defects to LP, picks ticket

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Former Governorship aspirant under the All Progressive Congress (APC), has defected to the Labour Party (LP) and has been adopted as the LP sole candidate for the 2023 governorship election.

Margif, who accepted the nomination form at a brief reception hosted by the National Chairman of the Labour Party Barr. Julius Abure, in Abuja on Friday, called on the party to forge the trust on him as their new symbol of unity and growth on the Plateau.

According to Margif, a lot is still needed to be done in order to restore the lost Glory of Plateau, adding that many citizens are hungry, unemployed and many more threatened by unwarranted and unnecessary security and economic challenges.

Earlier in his remake, Barr. Abure, expressed confidence on Margif, describing him as a leader who understands the Problem of Plateau and assured him of the Party’s support towards the realization of the aspiration.

According to Abure, Plateau is in dear need of true and genuine leaders like Margif who will tackle insecurity for famers to access their farms, revamp the State economy to create employment for youths.
