Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has appointed ex International soccer star, Mikel Obi, former Chief Medical Director of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), Prof Ishaya Pam as advisers.
While Mikel Obi was made an honourary adviser on Sports, Pam was appointed honourary adviser on health.
A statement signed by the Director of Press Affairs to the Governor, Gyang Bere, also listed other appointments made by the Governor, which, according to him was to strengthen the machinery of governance.
The Teachers Service Commission has Mr. Alex Chup as chairman and two members, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has Sunday Samuel Amuna, as acting chairman and three members Abuja Liaison Directorate had five members with Danladi Mwantok as head.
Hart Bankat was appointed the General Manager of the Jos Metropolitan Development Board; Dr. Agabus Manasseh, Director General, Plateau Contributory Health care Management Board; Prof. Christopher Sabo Yilgwan, Chief Medical Director, Plateau Specialist Hospital; Matthew Dawap, GM, Plateau Mineral Development Company; Mrs Helen Dapub, Executive Secretary, Local Government Service Pension Board and Ishaku Jilemsam, as the Programme Manager, Plateau Agricultural Development Programme (PADP).
