Abuja (Sundiata Post) – A Plateau group under the aegis of Concerned Plateau Patriots has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to appoint a former governorship aspirant in the 2023 general elections in the State, Chief Amos Yaduksu Gizo as Minister to replace Sen. Simon Lalong who resigned to become a Senator.
The group said they found Gizo worthy of the position considering his track records and education pedigree as well as the fact that only one person out of the three Senatorial zones has become a Minister of the federal republic.
According to the convener of the group, Dr. Sarki Zailali, who spoke in a statement sent to our correspondent said, the Plateau Central Senatorial zone has been robbed of Ministerial slots since the inception of the third republic in 1999.
In his words: “For the records Southern Zone has had six slots, Plateau Central one and Plateau North five slots. We pray to the God of Justice and equity to touch Mr. President to consider Plateau Central and Chief Amos Gizo particularly as Minister.
“Gizo is a teacher, a publisher, a businessman, politician of grassroot touch and an employer of Labour who has touched the lives of many Nigerians.
“The beauty of Chief Amos Gizo is his Pan – Nigerian heart who romances all tribes, creed and religion. He is a bulldozer if it comes to assignments and will deliver on record time.
“This is the candidate we are presenting to Mr. President for consideration as Ministerial material from Plateau”, the statement reads.
