JOS (Sundiata Post) – Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau State Chapter, Damishi Sango has been reportedly abducted by gunmen.
He was said to have been kidnapped along with his son, another PDP chieftain, Chief Magni and his driver
Information revealed that the former Minister of Sports was kidnaped by suspected gunmen on Wednesday along Kafanchan- Abuja Highway while on his way to Abuja
It was gathered that the former PDP guber aspirant, who left his house in Jos in the afternoon of Wednesday for the party’s National convention slated for Saturday, was stopped by his abductors before he was taken away alongside his driver to an unidentified area.
The abductors were said to have abandoned the vehicle in which the quartet was travelling and forced them into their own vehicle.
As at the time of writing this report, no information has been heard about their whereabouts, however the Police are yet to make any statement regarding the issue.
Former state organizing secretary, Mr. Mike Dachom, who confirmed the kidnapping said he has also heard about their abduction.
As at the time of writing no demand for ransom has been given.
Sango’s abduction is coming less that one week after a former Senator representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, Ekiti State, Ayo Arise, was kidnapped by gunmen .
He was kidnapped along with his driver on the Okene-Abuja Highway while travelling back to Abuja from his country house in Oye-Ekiti.
