JOS – The Plateau State Commissioner for Works, Mr Chris Hassan, on Friday resigned his appointment in order to pursue his ambition for House of Representatives membership.

Hassan told newsmen in Jos that he handed over to the permanent secretary in the ministry.

He said he was called upon by his people to context for the position in the conviction that he had exhibited diligence and commitment and should be able to facilitate the community’s development.

Hassan said that he would contest for the Jos North and Bassa Federal Constituency seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“My mission is to reposition Bassa and Jos North local governments and to ensure that they enjoy dividends of democracy,” he said.

Hassan will contest for the seat against Rep. Suleiman Kwande currently occupying the seat. (NAN)
