LAGOS – The Head Coach of Super Sand Eagles, Audu Adamu, on Tuesday said that the team players would be invited to camp for the Congo qualifying match in preparation for the 2014 COPA Lagos Beach Soccer tournament.
Adamu spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
The game is expected to kick off from Dec. 12 to Dec. 14 at the Eko Atlantic Resort, Victoria Island, Lagos.
“I have invited some players, but some of them will be playing in the qualifier against Congo.
“Then, on either Monday or Tuesday, players will resume in the camp– and then we will take it from there.
“I believe in the ability of my players even although I have not declared my list, I want to assure fans that they will be invited on merit as we have always done,” Adamu said
NAN reports that Super Sand have won the championship three times in a row.
Switzerland, Cote’d Ivorie and FC Barcelona Beach Soccer of Spain will participate in the fourth edition of the Kinetic Sports-organised tournament. (NAN)
