SULEJA – Mr Abubakar Yahaya, the Police Area Commander in Suleja, has urged politicians to play by the rules while also soliciting the cooperation of the public in ensuring peaceful elections.
Yahaya made the call on Saturday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Suleja.
He said that adequate personnel had been deployed to cover each polling unit in the area but declined to disclose the number.
“In line with the visibility policy of the police, we are conspicuous everywhere, including all the black spots.
“This is to forestall any attempt to breach electoral laws.”
Yahaya said that his men would not leave any stone unturned until normalcy returned to those areas.
”The police have noted these dark spots and would ensure that we check any form of violence that may want to spring up,” he said.
