ABUJA – The police on Friday arraigned a 22-year-old labourer, Mustapha Mohammed, in a Wuse Zone 2 Senior Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, for receiving stolen property.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Umar Ango, told the court that the matter was reported by one Emmanuel Nnaji on Sept. 30 at the Wuse Market Police Station, Abuja. [eap_ad_1] He said that the accused, who lives in Kado village, Abuja, committed the crime on Sept. 30
He added that the accused received eight cartons of stolen fruit juice worth N18,000 from one Mohammed Mamman.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 217 of the Penal Code.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and the Senior Magistrate Aminu Eri, granted him bail in the sum of N10,000 with one surety in like sum.
Eri then adjourned the case until Nov. 25 for further hearing. (NAN)
