LAGOS – The police on Wednesday arraigned a 25-year-old man, Jacob Odili, in an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court for theft of household appliances valued at N50, 000.
Odili is charged with unlawfully entry and theft of N30, 000 and items which include a Disc Video Player and one flat screen television. [eap_ad_1] The prosecutor, Cpl. Oluwafemi Adeleye, told the court that the accused stole the items, property of Ajibola Aregbesola, on Aug. 5 at No. 6, Haurna Ayuba Street Akesan in Igando, Lagos.
He said the accused unlawfully entered the house and committed the offences.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 285 and 306 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused pleaded guilty to the two-count charge.
The magistrate, Mr P.E. Nwaka, ordered the accused to be remanded in prison custody, and adjourned the case till Aug. 25 for facts and sentencing. (NAN)
