Bwari (Abuja) – The police on Thursday arraigned a distribution manager, Simon Ogar, a 36-year-old man in Dutse Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly misappropriating N1. 5 million, belonging to Joc-Dona Investment, Bwari, FCT.
Ogar, who resides behind Air force Base, Abuja, is charged with criminal breach of trust, cheating and criminal misappropriation.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecution counsel, Mrs Idowu Ojo, told the court that the matter was reported by Comfort Adeniyi of Joc-Dona Investment, KC Plaza in Bwari, on Sept. 10 at the Bwari Police Station.
She explained that the defendant, was employed two years ago by the company, to distribute food items to clients.
During the period, she alleged that the defendant dishonestly converted N1.5 million to his personal use.
She alleged that during investigation, he confessed to the crime .
The offence, she said, contravened the provisions of sections 311 and 326 of the Penal Code.
The President of the Court, Mr Suleiman Mohammed, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum.
Mohammed adjourned the case until Oct.21 for mention.
