ABUJA – The police on Thursday arraigned a security guard in an FCT Area Court, Lugbe, for allegedly stealing a cell phone.
The accused, Eseigbe Gabriel, 25, a resident of Pyakasa Village Abuja, was arraigned on a one-count charge of theft.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Anigbo Paul, told the court that the complainant, Miss Amarachi John, plugged a Nokia mobile phone valued at N33,000 in Gabriel’s security house.
Paul said that Gabriel dishonestly stole the mobile phone and refused to disclose where he kept it. [eap_ad_2] He said the offence contravened Section 288 of the Penal Code.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Senior Judge Gambo Garbo, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety in like sum.
