The police on Monday arraigned one Damilola Ogundipe, 19, in an Ado Ekiti Magistrates’ Court charged with stealing baby wares.
The prosecutor, Cpl Monica Ikebuilo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on November 18 at Falegan Street, Ado Ekiti.
She said that Ogundipe had on the said date unlawfully broke into the house of one Ariyo Margaret and stole baby wares worth of N35,000.
Ikebuilo said the offence contravened Section 412, 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap C 16,Vol.1 laws of Ekiti State 2012.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty while her Counsel, Mr Yemi Adebayo, prayed the court to grant her bail with a promise that she would not jump bail.
The Magistrate, Doyin Akosile, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N10,000 and one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case to Dec.11 for further hearing.
