The new Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Kayode Aderanti, on Thursday promised to fish out the killer of Mr Dimgba Igwe, who was Vice Chairman of the Sun Newspapers.
Aderanti gave the promise when he paid a condolence visit to the organisation in Lagos. [eap_ad_1] “I want to give the assurance that the culprit will be arrested and brought to book.
“This visit is to re-enforce that crime and criminality must be brought to the barest minimum in the state,’’ Aderanti said.
The commissioner appealed to the public to give useful information that would help the police in its investigation of the matter.
Mr Femi Adesina, the Managing Director of the Sun Newspapers, who received the commissioner, appealed to the police to ensure the culprit was arrested.
According to him, arresting the killer of Igwe is the only way the organisation can honour the deceased.
Until his death, Igwe was also an Associate Publisher of Entertainment Express Newspaper.
He was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday while jogging around his house in the Okota area of the state. (NAN)
